European Youth Meeting for Sustainable Development 2011 launched on 20th January 2011 two separate calls: one for participants and one for trainers and facilitators to assist with the execution of the Meeting programme. In order to apply, fill in the trainer`s/facilitator’s application form and send it by e-mail to facilitators at eym2011 dot eu before 10th of April 2011. Applications arriving past (12:00pm CET) on 10th April 2011 will not be accepted.
Additional questions have been posed about the call for trainers and facilitators.
Trainers are experts on specific topics within the given range and needed for conducting skills workshops. We are essentially looking for offers, if you have a good idea within our framework that you are able to execute as a workshop, let us know. As they are workshops they should be focused on Participants will be given a choice of the skills workshops once the full list of participants and facilitators and trainers has been completed. That will then also determine the size of the group for the workshop.
Facilitators will facilitate the working groups. They will all be of same size, to be determined after the final selection of participants. Each group will essentially have two facilitators. Each group will be given a theme and the participants will stay in one group for the duration of the Meeting. The working groups will in all likelihood follow the next basic themes:
- Environmental sustainability
- Sustainable economic development
- Health issues and sustainable development
- Education and sustainable development
- Policy design
- Advocacy and/or lobbying
For the groups covering those themes we are looking for general expertise on the topic and previous expertise in facilitating group work.
Like participants themselves, accommodation, food, local transport, materials and other services will be covered for all trainers and facilitators by organisers.
NB! All trainers and facilitators should be prepared to cover their own travel cost. We cannot at this point offer guarantees for that.
